Where do we come from?

In this two-part critical challenge, students formulate powerful questions to ask a class visitor about the cultural and linguistic groups to which he or she belongs. Students then ask the same questions of one of their own family members and share their findings with the class, along with an artifact that helps tell the story. The linguistic, cultural and regional groups represented in the class are listed and recorded on a map.
