Students explore the properties of various sources of light. The lesson begins with students learning how to use a Venn diagram to sort similarities and differences. Students then explore characteristics of light from two sources, a light bulb and the sun. To conclude the lesson, students write “I-statements” to describe the characteristics of each light source in the appropriate sections of a Venn diagram.
