What is the artist really saying about the Franklin Expedition?

Students will learn about the Franklin Expedition through an examination of the explicit meanings and implicit attitudes found in an artist’s representation of the event. They create a list of five words or phrases to describe the artist’s implied attitudes about the people, places and events of the expedition.
