Paying attention to emotions when learning

Students learn a strategy to identify and respond to emotions that may arise when learning about historical experiences or events. Students develop the ability to identify emotions that may arise when learning about historical experiences or events, and understand the effects that emotions can have on learning and thinking. Designed to support inquiry into local histories, this tutorial includes instructional suggestions for teachers (introducing the strategy, practicing the strategy, applying the strategy to learn more about a local history, and assessing use of the strategy) and resources for students (activity sheets, and self-assessment rubric).
