Battle of Bunker Hill

Students examine a detail from a painting depicting the death of General Warren at the Battle of Bunker Hill. After learning about bias in the writing of historical textbooks, students are shown the complete painting and are given background information about it. After identifying bias in a written account of the battle, students are challenged to write their own fair-minded version of the battle.
