TC² New Teacher Essentials Series: Start the Year Strong!
Registration is now open
The Critical Thinking Consortium (TC²) is offering a 4-part online learning series to support new and early-career educators in preparing for the year ahead.
What it's all about
Using TC²’s approach to critical thinking, this series explores key aspects of setting up a successful school year:
- How do I create a community of thinkers where each of my students feels a sense of safety, belonging, and connection?
- How do I get to know my learners early and in meaningful ways that will help me plan?
- How do I plan a lesson, a unit—and a year?
- What kinds of questions, activities, and tasks will engage my students in meaningful ways?
- How can I think about and plan for assessment to support learning right from the start?
This series offers practical strategies and ready-to-use tools to support a strong start to the school year in all grades and subject areas.
