Students interpret William Russell's dispatch at the time of the Battle of Balaclava and Lord Tennyson's poem The Charge of the Light Brigade in light of favourable and unfavourable perspectives on valour. Students then write two editorials—one to support and one to refute—of a statement describing the charge of the Light Brigade during the Battle of Balaclava as "That glorious blunder of which all Englishmen are justifiably proud."
