Students judge the authority and credibility of information posted on the internet. They develop an understanding of the importance of assessing the credibility of a website, based on specific criteria, and of comparing websites to ensure credibility and discover the best sources of information. It includes instructional suggestions for teachers (introducing the strategy, practicing the strategy, and assessing use of the strategy) and resources for students (introductory activities, data charts, student guide and self-assessment rubric).
