Each year, TC² delivers more than 300 highly reviewed and valued face-to-face and online professional learning sessions across Canada and internationally. Each learning opportunity is customized to meet the diverse needs of varied groups and audiences. If you are an educator experienced in facilitating professional learning, and possess an in-depth understanding of the TC2 approach and model, opportunities to facilitate with TC² may be of interest to you.
Participating in the TC² Facilitator Development process is a unique professional learning opportunity that involves rigorous engagement with our thinking framework. In addition to deepening theoretical and practical knowledge of quality thinking, prospective facilitators collaborate and learn alongside well-respected Canadian educational leaders. While not all who participate in the development process become certified as TC² facilitators, the knowledge and competencies developed through the process are invaluable to anyone working within the education sector.
Facilitator Development with TC² is a two-stage process:
Stage 1: Exploring facilitation with TC²
Stage 2: Mentoring with TC²
The purpose of Stage 1 is to deepen knowledge of the TC² model and approach and of foundational TC² resources. It is assumed that all prospective facilitators believe in and are committed to our model and currently use TC² critical challenges and other resources. Regular practice with the model will complement and continue the learning that occurs during this stage of development.
The application package is comprised of three parts:
The following criteria guides the review of application packages:
Prospective facilitators will complete the following prerequisites within a 10-month period:

Prospective facilitators are supported by the Professional Learning team. Upon successful completion of Stage 1, the same criteria used to review facilitator applications are used to select candidates for participation in Stage 2, Mentoring with TC².
The purpose of this stage is the development of the seven facilitator competencies through five types of learning opportunities:
The mentoring stage will run for approximately six months. Upon successful completion of the program, the mentee is eligible for contract work with TC² based on personal availability and Consortium needs.
