Whether you are interested in an introductory session or a series, face-to-face, online sessions, or a combination, we are here to support you every step of the way. Below is a summary of the services that are most commonly requested but we are always open to new and innovative ways to meet your professional learning needs.

Face-to-face and online learning sessions

The fees listed below are in effect until June 30, 2024.

Facilitated learning session

  • Facilitator-led interactive sessions
  • Sessions provide opportunities for instruction, dialogue and helpful strategies for all educators
  • Learning opportunities may include larger group presentations, planning with small teams of teachers, in-class modelling, supporting teacher-inquiry groups, etc.
The full day rate includes a maximum of 5 hours of active face-to-face facilitation.

Leadership consultation and collaboration

Consultation and collabortion is available to support districts and schools. Below are a few examples of areas where TC2 faciliators can assist:

  • Collaborative development of district level strategic plan
  • Strategic planning support for school leaders 
  • Support for senior educational leaders in planning and coaching
  • Collaborative analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
  • Consultation for the development of tools for assessing and reporting progress
  • Sessions can be face-to-face or virtual

Implementation support for teachers (via email)

  • Direct access to TC² facilitators for one-on-one support between facilitated sessions
  • Teacher-initiated, just-in-time feedback and advice for specific areas of need
  • Support is accessed via email at a mutually agreed upon date/time
  • Teachers access a pre-paid bank of hours at 15-minute minimum increments
  • Minimum of 5 pre-paid hours

*TC²’s professional learning consultant, in conjunction with the facilitator, will determine final costs. Factors that impact cost may include integrating local context, curriculum review, extended preparation time, group size, and translation of materials/services.

Some important additional information

  • All fees are subject to applicable taxes.
  • Domestic and international fees are payable in Canadian currency unless otherwise negotiated.
  • A minimum one-hour fee applies for all facilitated learning sessions.
  • Learning sessions of up to 35 participants are ideal to allow for maximum interaction and participation.
  • Keynote rates are negotiable for smaller groups and special events.
  • Some TC² facilitators are also employed as educators. An additional fee, to be confirmed at time of booking, may be required to cover the facilitator’s release time.

Travel and accommodation costs
The client is responsible for covering all expenses associated with the facilitator’s travel to the site. These may include:

  • mileage at $0.68 per kilometer
  • hotel accommodations
  • meals at $100 per day
  • taxi
  • parking
  • car rental
  • airfare
Extended travel charge
TC² will apply an additional fee to cover the facilitator’s travel time to and from workshop destinations based on the following travel times:
  • 4 to 6 hours - $150
  • 6 to 8 hours - $225
  • more than 8 hours - $300
Workshop materials
The client will assume responsibility for reproducing workshop handouts for participants. If TC² is asked to do this, the client will be billed at cost for any duplication expenses.

Cancellation policy
TC² greatly appreciates having as much notice as possible when cancellation of a session becomes necessary. Our Professional Learning Consultant will make every effort to find a suitable date for re-scheduling of the session. When re-scheduling is not possible, the following cancellation policy will apply:

  • When notice of cancellation is received 8 business days prior to a scheduled session, no cancellation fee will apply.
  • When notice of cancellation is received fewer than 8 business days prior to a scheduled session, and the session cannot be re-scheduled to a later date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost of the session will apply. Extenuating and unforeseen circumstances will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Certificate programs

We currently offer two certificate programs: Coaching in critical inquiry and the Math lead teacher certification.

Customized certificate programs can be designed and created to meet specific needs. The Professional Learning Consultant can provide additional information regarding content and costs.


Fee

Coaching in critical inquiry

Sequenced program of 4 modules of 4 sessions each, with online support and practice opportunities between sessions leading to a certificate of achievement. This program is delivered in group sessions with a minimum of 20 participants.

(for all 16 sessions)

Math lead teacher certification

Sequenced program to support the implementation of a critical inquiry pedagogy in mathematics while also developing quality classroom materials. This is a highly customized program delivered one-on-one or in small groups of no more than three participants.
